Dubai, UAE; 2 April 2015: The Board of Directors of Depa Limited (Nasdaq Dubai: DEPA), one of the world’s leading interior contracting companies, confirmed on 1 April 2015 that it has appointed Nadim Akhras as Group Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Mr Akhras was nominated Interim Group CEO in October 2013. Previously, he had been the CEO of the Dubai Regional Office since 2011. Mr Akhras joined the Company in 1998 and has held senior roles at Depa Interiors.
Mr Akhras has over 23 years of experience in the engineering and construction field and has successfully overseen and executed high-end and large scale projects in the Middle East, Africa, India and CIS countries. Mr Akhras holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Damascus University and is an alumnus of London Business School.
Commenting on Mr Akhras’ appointment, the Board has said: “Since being nominated Interim Group CEO, Mr Akhras has guided Depa to evolve its strategy of geographic diversification and operational consolidation, improving the position of the Company in highly competitive markets.
