Depa Limited (“Depa”), the leading global interior solutions group, confirms that today Depa has notified the Nasdaq Dubai of its intention to convert its listing currency on the Nasdaq Dubai trading platform from US Dollars to UAE Dirhams.
The redenomination of Depa’s listing currency from US Dollars to UAE Dirhams is expected to increase the attractiveness of its shares to regional institutional and retail investor bases, which in turn should lead to increased investor interest, improved liquidity and more efficient pricing.
Discussions in relation to the conversion have been held with Nasdaq Dubai, the Dubai Financial Services Authority and other important market participants. The conversion is expected to take place prior to 31 March 2018. Depa will provide the market with more detail in relation to the timing of the effective date of the conversion in due course.
Hamish Tyrwhitt, Depa’s Group Chief Executive Officer commented: “The conversion of Depa’s listing currency to UAE Dirhams is just one of the many actions that Depa is taking to enhance the liquidity of its shares and generate sustainable value for its shareholders.
“A UAE Dirham denominated listing is expected to be more attractive to our regional investors, both institutional and more importantly retail; especially those who have traditionally found trading in USD to be a deterring factor.
“Depa is also assessing a number of other actions to enhance the liquidity of its shares and will communicate the outcome of this to the market in due course, as appropriate.”

تؤكد شركة ديبا المحدودة (DEPA)، المجموعة العالمية الرائدة لحلول الديكور الداخلي، أنها أخطرت اليوم بورصة ناسداك دبي عن عزمها تحويل عملة قيدها في قائمة أسعار بورصة ناسداك دبي من الدولار الأمريكي إلى الدرهم الإماراتي.
ومن المتوقع أن يؤدي تغيير عملة قيد الشركة في البورصة من الدولار الأمريكي إلى الدرهم الإماراتي إلى زيادة جاذبية أسهمها لدى قواعد المستثمرين الإقليميين من المؤسسات والأفراد، الأمر الذي من شأنه أن يؤدي إلى زيادة اهتمام المستثمرين بها وتحسين سيولة أسهمها والاتجاه نحو تسعير أكثر كفاءة.
